Is ELMED free for patients?
Yes. Your patient account and platform features are free. Consultations, medicines and lab tests are charged separately by the healthcare providers you use.
Can I manage my whole family’s health?
Yes. Each child or dependant has an individual health record. Linked adult accounts use permission settings so the person you support controls the access they share.
Do I need medical aid to use ELMED?
No. ELMED is available to insured and uninsured patients. No medical aid scheme has joined ELMED yet. Confirm cover and payment directly with your provider.
How do I get the app?
Download the Android app from elmed.healthcare/app and sign in with your free ELMED account. An iPhone app has not launched yet, so on an iPhone use ELMED in your mobile browser.
How is my health information protected?
ELMED’s privacy policy describes encrypted connections, role-based access and audit logging. Access to your records is limited to authorised professionals involved in your care. Read the privacy policy for full details.
