2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to register. Healthcare providers must hold valid, current registration with their respective regulatory body (HPCSA, SAPC, SANC, etc.) and comply with all applicable South African laws and regulations.

3. Healthcare Disclaimer

ELMED is a technology platform, not a medical practice. We facilitate connections between patients and licensed healthcare professionals. Information provided on ELMED does not constitute medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions. In an emergency, call 10177 (ambulance) or 10111 (police).

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. ELMED reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Payments and Fees

ELMED charges a platform fee on transactions processed through the platform. Fee rates are displayed before payment and are configurable by ELMED administrators. All amounts are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by third-party gateways (PayFast, Yoco) subject to their terms.

6. Provider Payouts

Provider payouts are processed weekly to verified bank accounts. ELMED reserves the right to withhold payouts pending investigation of disputes, chargebacks, or suspected fraudulent activity.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use ELMED to: issue fraudulent prescriptions; impersonate a healthcare professional; submit false medical aid claims; attempt to access other users' data; scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the platform's APIs; or engage in any conduct that violates South African law.
