Is the ELMED patient portal free?

Yes. Creating a patient account is completely free. You pay normal consultation and medication fees directly to your provider. ELMED adds no surcharge for patients.

Can I book a GP online through ELMED?

Yes. Search HPCSA-registered GPs and specialists, view availability and book an in-person or telehealth video consultation directly from your patient portal.

How do I link my medical aid to my ELMED account?

In your profile, add your scheme name, membership number and plan. ELMED automatically generates medical aid claims whenever a doctor completes a consultation.

Is my health data safe on ELMED?

Yes. ELMED is fully POPIA compliant. No healthcare provider can view your records without an active clinical relationship or referral you have authorised.

Can I manage my children's health on ELMED?

Yes. Add children as dependants under your account. Their consultations, prescriptions, vaccination records and growth charts are all accessible from your portal.
