How to get on ELMED

Register with your HPCSA number

Create your account, select Psychiatrist or Psychologist and add your HPCSA registration number and practice details.

Admin approves your account

Credentials are reviewed and your mental health portal is activated.

Start managing patients and sessions

Add patients, record session notes, view mood data and manage your caseload from your portal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the mental health portal shared between psychiatrists and psychologists?

Yes. Both psychiatrists and psychologists register under the Mental Health role and access the same portal. Prescribing is available to psychiatrists only.

Can I view my patient's mood tracker?

Yes. If your patient uses the ELMED mood tracker, you can view their daily logs and 30-day trend chart in their patient record.

Does the portal support risk assessments?

Yes. The session notes form includes a structured risk assessment section for suicidality, homicidality and self-harm risk.
