Frequently Asked Questions

Is the occ health portal suitable for mining health services?
Yes. The portal supports periodic medical examinations, audiometry, spirometry and fitness-for-duty documentation required in high-risk industries.
Can employers see employee health records?
No. Employee health records are confidential. Employers only receive fitness-for-duty certificates and return-to-work letters, which are the practitioner's clinical opinion documents.
Does the portal support COID reporting?
The IOD record captures the data required for COID reporting. Formal CF1 form submission is done through the Department of Labour's own systems.
